Buzz is whatever people talk about. God is starting thousands of new churches with people who talk about Good News like forgiveness, social justice, mercy, and having a meaningful life. I'm Jack, and I've been buzzing about starting churches since 1993. I help people become church planting missionaries in North America.
For a hundred years, the population increased but the number of churches did not keep pace. Today, there are only about 10 churches for every 10,000 Americans, and Canada has fewer churches than that.
Southern Baptists (my tribe) started churches on the frontier for 100 years. Today's frontiers are in the cities--jammed with people, but largely without effective churches. In cities, people are isolated and often feel hopeless and friendless in a sea of people. Even in the suburbs, fewer people today have genuine friends or attend an effective church.
Not all churches are struggling. New churches tend to grow. I help you learn what works. If you want help, let me know.
